Spin

© 1996 Marisa Bozza; Words & Music

 I'm holding tightly to my mind again,
 just yesterday it tried to get away from me.
Its held together by a thread of illusions,
its held together by the twine inside of me.
It isn't easy,
I'm getting dizzy,
you think it's easy
well, you oughtta' try it sometime;
you think I'm dizzy?
You oughtta' be me.
You oughtta climb inside my mind...
I'm busy spinning,
I'm busy spinning,
I'm busy spinning webs' again,
it isn't easy,
I'm getting dizzy,
holding it together with my own thread.
You think it's easy?
You think it's easy?
You think it's easy?
well, you oughtta' try it sometime.
You think I'm dizzy?
You think I'M dizzy?
Go spin your own web and get the fuck out of mine.
I'm making patterns without thinking about it,
sometimes i spin and fall and have to start all over,
I'm making patterns with out knowing how to-
I never needed to know,
and now I know,
I never needed to know,
I only needed to spin...

They get suspicious,
 they think I'm up to something,
I'm only up to my ass in thread.
They say I'm crazy
 well, I just may be;
 go spin your own web and
get the fuck out of my head;
If I'm the prisoner of my own illusion,
well, then I'm caught up in my own web, it's
 not any better, but i'm spared the confusion
of being trapped in someone elses' instead.
Not any better, but I'm spared the illusion
of being trapped in someone elses' head;
not any better, but I'm spared the intrusion
of being trapped in someone elses bed.
I'm making patterns without thinking about it,
sometimes i spin and fall and have to start all over,
I'm making patterns with out knowing how to-
I never needed to know,
and now I know,
I never needed to know,
I only needed to spin.
I'm busy spinning,
I'm busy spinning,
I'm busy spinning webs' again,
it isn't easy,
I'm getting dizzy,
 holding it together with my own thread.
You think it's easy?
You think it's easy?
You think it's easy?
Well, you oughtta' try it sometime,
You think I'm dizzy?
You think I'M dizzy?
Go spin your own web and stay the fuck out of mine.
